My user centered approach to design
I enjoy learning about user needs and engaging in usability research. I believe that human-centered design and technology can create meaningful solutions for the under-served.
My goal on any project is to build trust with users via engaging experiences and clear communication.
Current position:
User Experience Engineer
I currently work at Draper Laboratory as a User Experience Engineer in the AI, Human, and Data Technologies division. I'm part of a team designing usable, engaging, modern, and intuitive interfaces for a variety of projects, ranging from big data analytics, to aerospace displays and controls, to multi-person collaborative systems on both desktop computers and mobile devices.
I design for users in high cognitive workload situations, users attempting to solve complex data problems (including data visualization and overcoming cognitive bias), and users working in safety critical operations.
Experience
I am a MassArt alumna with BFAs in Graphic Design Communications and Photography. I have experience in user research and evaluation, interaction and interface design for web and mobile applications, visual design systems, branding, infographics, illustration, editorial and advertising collateral. I hold passions for music, science, space and languages. I currently hold an active security clearance.
